THIRTY!
MONOLOGUE: Mark from the
Roots is hilarious. Joining Obamacare thinking its a dating website was great.
He’s actually a great actor who plays stupid. And he can slapa duh bass! We
move on to a string of jokes about the Philadelphia
76ers. There were some good ones in there with the Fresh Prince reference. A
Jay Leno jab, and picks out people from the audience to read a joke. That’s
something new. James Poyser’s record with yet another appearance on the show.
Boy does Jimmy, Higgins and the crew love ripping James for that album cover.
Keep it coming! It’s hilarious, even if people with the show get more enjoyment
out of it than the audience. 76ers' Epic Losing Streak, Secret Service Members…
FORD F-150!!! This is two weeks in
the making!! I wonder if he’ll drive it out on the beach and get stuck like he
did with his Range Rover?* What a brilliant idea as to how to buy a truck.
Fingers on a 4x4 is an awesome idea. Jimmy is bringing in car dealers from
around the city, all of them will place their hands on the truck and whoever
lasts the longest, Jimmy will buy the truck from them. Jimmy Picks a Truck and Announces Fingers on a …
*Too soon?
THANK YOU NOTES: The Truck/Van
Halen bit continues into Thank You Notes, as Jimmy sometimes doesn’t let things
go, but it works. Trying to catch the Roots off guard and poor James having to
change the piano tone... Tom Brokaw impression!!! Brewery! Solid week of notes
with a look in on Mark from the Roots having his date from Obamacare as they go
to break: Thank You Notes: Shakira, Clif Bars, Billy Dee Williams
GUESTS: January Jones just looks
like someone from the Mad Men era. Her story about being a part of a prank was
great. This is a very relaxed interview. January is very calm, and without a
care. It seems she’s just on the show to talk to a friend. She’s funnier in
this interview than when she hosted SNL. Which is sad, but the interview is
great. January Jones Pulled a Great Prank
Giant Game of Quarters is always a
blast. It was strange to see Kristen Stewart play it, (that was the last time
I’ve seen this game), but seeing January Jones play it is awesome. Her and
Jimmy look like they’re on a date with this banter going on back and
forth. http://www.nbc.com/the-tonight-show/segments/3546 …
Josh Holloway: Sorry, I can’t look
at him and not see Sawyer from LOST. Of course Josh Holloway would have 3
trucks. I love when actors come on Late Night talk shows and promote a TV show
on the network’s competition. I’ve watched Holloway’s ‘Intelligence’ show on
CBS and it isn’t terrible… Not great, but a fun little show that has some cool
technology to it. Of course Josh Holloway is fly fishing in the snow.
(Melissa's Note: Yeah, I can't see him as anyone other than Sawyer either, which just makes me think of Lost and how terrible the last episode of THAT show was... I'm still so bitter...)
Jimmy and Holloway in the crowd to
toss to the musical guest, what a great non-traditional way to send it off to
musical guest, Then again… I see why now. The way the staging was set up with
Passenger at Jimmy’s monologue mark, they didn’t want Jimmy sitting at his
desk. Solo acoustic guitar strumming that D-Chord is some of the best music.
Job well done here tonight. Very coffee shop/intimate setting for a musical
guest on the Tonight show. Loved it!
That was the loosested Friday Show
I think I’ve ever seen. So ends the 6th week of Jimmy’s Tonight Show and he
will do a 7th straight week without a night off, as next week is all new shows
as well. May sweeps isn’t for another month! Give my boy a day off before then!
